Doris Shelton Nettles, 86, of Lott, died Wednesday, Dec. 13, 2006, in a Cameron hospital. Services will be 11 a.m. Saturday, at Cook-gerngross-Green-Patterson Funeral Home in Rosebud, Texas. The Rev. Randy Osborn and the Rev. John Self will officiate. Burial wuill follow in Clover Hill Cemetery in Lott. Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. Friday at the funeral home.
Doris was born in Lott, Texas, to the late Lee and Claudie (McGaw) Shelton. She lived most of her life in Falls County and graduated from Lott High School. She married Wallace O. Nettles on March 5, 1940. She was a member of First Baptist Church in Lott.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Wallace, on Sept. 16, 1989.
She is survived by son, Wallace W. Nettles, of DeSoto; daughters, Charlotte Self, of Lott, and Donna Kight, of Georgetown; 14 grandchildren; 18 great-grandchildren; brother, Virgil Shelton, of Trinity; and sister, Juanita Sorrell, of Giddings.
