Obituary in The Shreveport (LA) Times September 20, 2016:

Terri Lynn Sharpe, 55, passed away in Longview, Washington on September 13, 2016. Terri was born on October 4, 1960 in Vivian, Louisiana to Dixie Wells Jr. and Glenda (Lovett) Wells. In high school at Springhill High School, in Springhill, Louisiana, Terri played volleyball and was a member of the flag line. After her high school graduation in 1979, Terri moved with her family to Longview, where she attended Lower Columbia College (LCC) and met her future husband, Ed Sharpe. Terri and Ed married in 1981 and made their home in Longview, where they raised their two beautiful sons, Drew and Zach Sharpe. Terri was an excellent cook (one of her specialties was a sausage spaghetti) and kept an immaculate home. As her children grew and matured she went to work as a bank teller and later as a bookkeeper. When her job was down-sized as a result of the recession, she went back to school at LCC and was sharpening her office skills as an LCC student at the time of her death. Terri was a voracious reader and in addition to spending time with her family, she developed a love of whale watching, primarily on the Oregon coast.

She is survived by her husband, Ed Sharpe of Longview, son Drew Sharpe of Beaverton, and son Zach Sharpe of Longview, as well as her Stepfather, D. L. Benefield, brother Dixie Wells III (Regina), sister Becky Summerlin (Dean), and the sunshine of her life, her granddaughter, Adeline "Addie" Sharpe, all of Longview. She is also survived by her nieces (her "extra" daughters), Brandy Cole of Alexandria, Virginia, and Deana Summerlin of Sarepta, Louisiana, and their children Natasha Cole, Hunter Summerlin, and Bella Summerlin), her niece, Caitlin Wells, of Vancouver, and nephew, Creighton Wells, of Longview, as well as her "extra" brother, Von Fish, of New Orleans. She was preceded in death by her parents.

Terri was a terrific wife, daughter, sister, mother, grandmother, and friend, but her finest hour came recently as she and her step dad nursed her late mother in the latter stages of a lengthy illness. Terri was a selfless person and will be sorely missed by all who knew her. Terri attended New Life Fellowship Church in Longview, and had a strong Christian faith. There will be no formal funeral service per her wishes, and after cremation, her ashes will be spread in the ocean near Newport, so she can "swim with the whales".
