William Jasper Moyers was born on September 20, 1861 in Tennessee, the son of Patrick Dillard "P D" Moyers (1831-1910) and his wife Martha Jane (Campbell) Moyers (1834-1925).
He was married about 1884 to Laura E Hembree (ca 1869– ), and she was the daughter of James Hembree (ca 1830- ) and his wife Martha ( -- ) Hembree (ca 1844- ).
A glazer for a furniture factory and living in Nashville, William was 55 years old and married when he died at home (of encephalitis?) on May 5, 1917. Burial was the next day in Spring Hill Cemetery.
