Funeral services for Mrs. Jessie McAlpin, 84, of Mize were held at 2 p.m. Saturday, October 19, from Harmony Baptist Church.
Rev. C. M, Grayson officiated and burial was in the Harmony Cemetery. Mims Mitchell Funeral Home of Magee was in charge.
A member of the Harmony Baptist Church, Mrs. McAlpin was born in Simpson County on Feb. 25, 1884. She passed away on October 18.
Survivors include three daughters, Mrs. Ance Everett, Magee, Mrs. Walter Westmoreland, Raleigh, Mrs. R. F. Stout, Jackson; two sons, Enos McAlpin and Velus McAlpin, both of Mize; three brothers, William Craft, Stringer, Fred Craft, Mize, and Jodie Craft, Taylorsville; one sister, Mrs. H. P. Anderson, Taylorsville; six grandchildren; six great grandchildren; and one great great grandchild.
