Hall (Dick) Bozarth, 51, Orick, died Thursday afternoon as the result of a logging accident while working at the Boak Logging operation 12 miles east of Orick.

He was born April 18, 1907, in Woodland, Washington, and had lived several years in Washington and Oregon. He had lived in Humboldt and Mendocino counties for the past eight years and lived in Eureka for several years. He had worked as a woodsman all his life.

Survivors include his wife, Elba M. Bozarth; daughters, Mrs. Sandra Lee Reed, Citrus Heights; Mrs. Kay Grimes, Fort Bragg, North Carolina; brother, Goth Bozarth, Porterville; sisters, Mrs. Blanche Richards, Toppenish, Washington; Mrs. Merle Bash, Cottonwood, Idaho; two grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be conducted Monday at 2 p.m. from Field Mortuary Chapel of the Redwoods, Arcata. The Rev. John C. Busby will officiate. Interment will follow in Sunset Memorial Park, Eureka.

Dick was the son of Cedora Jones and Arthur Bozarth; brother of Blanche, Levi, Bryan, Eva, Muriel, and Gothold Bozarth.
