Paul Anthony Seal, age 62, was peacefully welcomed into Heaven on December 23, 2013. Paul was born February 12, 1951, in Hamilton, Ohio, to Wilfred and Marjorie Seal. A building contractor by trade, he had experience in nearly all areas of construction and remodeling and held a bachelor's degree in business administration from Miami University. He was generous with his construction talent, frequently helping family, friends and neighbors. An active parishioner at Our Lady of Sorrows Catholic Church for more than 35 years, Paul often gave his time and talent to the celebration of Mass, as well as to maintenance of the church. He played a pivotal role in the remodel of the existing church, as well as in the building of the parish's PAC center. Paul was a Fourth Degree member of the Knights of Columbus, Council 14563, including serving two terms as the Grand Knight. Paul was also very active in the local community. He served as the Liberty Sports Organization girls' softball commissioner which led to a long-standing position on the Liberty Township Parks Board. During his tenure, the board opened new local parks and began the tradition of the Liberty Township 4th of July parade and celebration. Of all his activities, his favorite was spending time with his immediate and extended families. Paul was the beloved husband of Anna, and father to Jennifer (Andrew) Riegert and Valerie (Joshua) Reinhart. Another pride and joy were his two grandchildren, Quinn and Tessa. He had three siblings: Raymond (Kathleen) Seal, Mary Helen (Robert) Zolman, William (Jan) Seal and seven nieces and nephews. In addition, he was a beloved part of the Henry and Anna Korb family, including being very close to his 13 brother- and sister-in-laws and all of their families. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held Saturday, December 28, 2013, at 11 a.m. at Our Lady of Sorrows Catholic Church, 330 Lebanon Street, Monroe. Visitation will be from 9 a.m. to 11 a.m. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the ALS Association. Condolences to hodappfuneralhome.com
