Katie Whorton, 93, died Monday afternoon at her home, 20th Street West, Birmingham. Funeral service was held at 3:30 p.m. Wednesday in Angwin's Faith Chapel with Dr. Darold Morgan and Dr. John D. Perkins officiating. Burial in Elmwood Cemetery.

Survivors include Issac A. Whorton, Dr. Robert J. Whorton, Arthur H. Whorton and William M. Whorton; four daughters, Annie Ethel (Mrs. W.R.) Ray, Estelle Whorton, Leah (Mrs. E.F.) Fuller and Ruby (Mrs. A.D.) Woolley; two sisters, Mary (Mrs. W.E.) Wilson of Auburn and Rachel Annie (Mrs. Tom) Burgess of Gadsden; seven grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.
