BARTHOLOMEW BOOTH, a former resident of this county, died June 10, at Oakland, Ca., aged 56 years. News of Mr. Booth's death was received by his sister, Mrs. D.H. Staley, Bretheds.

Mr. Booth was a son of the late John and Elizabeth Boot and was born in Hagerstown. He spent his early days at Delamere, the Booth home, near Breatheds, went to California at the age of 18 years and spent the remainder of his life there.

He is survived by four sisters, Mrs. Z.T. Brown, Denver, Co.; Mrs. D.H. Staley, Breatheds; Mrs. Amos Bannister, Beaver Falls, Pa.; and Miss Harriet Booth, who was with him during his illness; brother, Dr. William Booth, Canon City, Co.

Mr. Booth was a member of several secret orders, including the Masons and Elks.

His body will be brought to Hagerstown for interment. Funeral announcements later.
