Lewis T. Gardner

Lewis T. Gardner, 100, of Madera, passed away on Wednesday, Dec. 6, 2006, at Windy Hill Village of Philipsburg, PA

Mr. Gardner was born in Madera, PA on February 11, 1906, the son of the late Andrew Jackson and Elsie (Seabolt) Gardner.

On March 5, 1928 in Madera he married the former Maude L. Stanley who preceded him in death on June 6, 1992.

He was employed as a Track Foreman at Pennsylvania Railroad in Altoona, PA., for 46 years.

He is survived by three children; Myrel R. Gardner of Madera; Betty Jane Rowles of Morann; and Gregory P. Gardner and his wife Judy of Berwindale, PA.

He is also survived by 5 grandchildren, 13 great grandchildren, 6 great great grandchildren and a number of nieces and nephews.

****He was the last of his generation****

Along with his wife he was preceded in by two sons; Ronald E. Gardner on Dec. 12, 1985; LeRoy R. Gardner on Jan. 4, 2002; a granddaughter, Bonnie Jean Mick; two sister; May and Annie; and the following brothers; Charles, Thurman, Walter, Ralph, John and James.

Friends will be received on Friday, Dec. 8, 2006 from 2-4 and 6-8 pm and on Saturday, Dec. 9, 2006 from 9-11 am at the Kruise Funeral Home, Inc. Madera.

Funeral Services will be held at Kruise Funeral Homes, Inc., Madera, at 11:00 am on Saturday, December 9th, with Rev. Thomas A. McCoy officiating.

Graveside Services will follow in the Beulah Cemetery Ramey , PA.
