Obit from Messenger of Truth Issue 19, 1947:

Jacob J. Becker was born in Poland, Russia on the 10th day of November in 1866, and departed this life on June 1, 1947, 4:00 o'clock in the morning in the home of his son Alfred near Roxbury. He was 80 years, 6 months, and 21 days of age.
On December 3, 1892 he was united in marriage to Mary Koehn, and to this union were born 8 children, 5 girls and 3 boys. His wife and three children have preceded him in death.
Mr. and Mrs. Becker lived in various places in McPherson, and Harvey counties, For fourteen years they lived on a farm near Galva, moving from there in 1914 to a farm near Roxbury, where they lived until Mrs. Becker was called home to be with the Lord in 1942.
Mr. Becker leaves to mourn his departure 5 brothers; John of Halstead; Dan of Meno, Okla.; Paul of Hesston; Tobias of McPherson; Edd of Goltry. Three sisters: Mrs. Henry Schmidt of Goltry; Mrs. Susie Unruh of Halstead, and Mrs. Pete Buller of Goltry, Oklahoma; Five children: Mrs. A. J. C. Becker (Lizzie) of Galva; Mrs. Frank Richert (Eva) of Tampa; Frank of Tampa; Mrs. John Everhart (Lena) of Tampa and Alfred of Gypsum. There are 19 grandchildren and 16 great grandchildren, also a host of other relatives and friends.
Funeral services were conducted at Roxbury and at the Lone Tree Church near Galva, where Jonas B. Koehn opened and Bro. Jesse Johnson delivered the message.
