Married Hannah Saxton Hussey of Baltimore, MD, on 10 Oct 1827 in Muskingum Co., Ohio. They had the following children: Asahel Hussey, Robert Fulton, Charles Goddard and Edward Crow.

Isaac was engaged in agricultural, horticulture, and breeding fine stock. He was the first in the township to engage in breeding Durham cattle and Merino sheep. He also served as president of the Muskingham Agricultural Society, secretary of the central Ohio Railroad CO., and postmaster of local community.

His manufacturing mills were located at the mouth of Liking River in west Zanesville.
