Anthony "Tony" Simonetti Jr., 76, of Yeagertown, died at 8:15 p.m. Monday, Sept. 12, 2016, at Brookline Manor, Mifflintown.
Born Feb. 14, 1940, in Lewistown, he was a son of the late Caterina (Battista) and Anthony Simonetti Sr.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his daughter, Lori Lyter, and his brother, Nickolas Simonetti.
He is survived by: his wife, Madeline "Donna" (Dillman) Simonetti, whom he married on April 13, 1961; grandchildren, April Clark and husband, Mike, and Ashlee Maben, all of Yeagertown, and Brandon Maben, of Lewistown; great-grandchildren, Madeline and Mara Clark, Logan Bodtorf, Lori Maben, and Ryder Maben; six sisters, Annie Smith, of Lewistown, Virginia Henry and husband, Harry, of Centre Hall, Angela Lindsay, of Connecticut, Catherine Royer and husband, Ronald, of Lewistown, Grace Thomas, of Pleasant Gap, and Judy Peters and husband, Robert, of Strodes Mills; half-brothers, Paul and Frank Simonetti; half-sister, Phil Johnston; and a number of nieces and nephews.
Tony was a member of the Sacred Heart of Jesus Catholic Church.
He owned and operated Tony's Auto Sales, was a self-employed upholsterer and was employed by Corvette America until his retirement.
He was a member of the Yeagertown Fire Company, enjoyed PSU football, NASCAR, and going to the Port Royal Speedway. He loved spending time with his family, especially his great-grandchildren.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11 a.m. Friday, Sept. 16, at Sacred Heart of Jesus Catholic Church, 106 N. Dorcas St., Lewistown, with Father Joseph Fleming officiating.
A viewing will be held from 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday, Sept. 15, at Heller-Hoenstine Funeral Homes, Woodlawn, 200 N. Main St., Lewistown.
Interment will take place in Juniata Memorial Park.
