Mike Hart of Stamford is buried there but back in 1955, he was enclosed in a tomb made of Lueders limestone. A couple of years ago I and a couple of friends were trying to find the tomb. That's when we discovered that because the tomb was settling and falling apart, they had to bury Mike about 1980.

CAR, BUS HIT; YOUTH INJURED

Albany, Dec 10--A 19-year-old Stamford youth was seriously injured about 7 p.m. Saturday when his car and a Greyhound bus collided six miles east of here on U.S. Highway 180.

Mike Hart, son of Mr. and Mrs. J.L. Hart received a broken left leg, injured knee and other undetermined injuries. He was taken unconscious to Shackelford County Memorial Hospital here and he had not regained consciousness late Saturday night hospital attendants said.

The Texas Highway Patrol at Breckenridge said neither the driver of the eastbound Greyhound bus nor any of his passengers were injured. Greyhound officials at Abilene said the the bus was carrying 23 passengers when it left here. Driver of the bus was Louis Humphrey Janicek of Dallas.

Highway patrolmen said Hart, traveling west in a 1954 Ford, went off the highway and overturned several times in a ditch after the left rear fender of his car and the front part of the bus collided.

The Greyhound Bus Line sent a relief bus to the scene of the accident to pick up passengers and take them to their destinations.

The following article on Mike Hart contains at least one error.

1. The wreck/accident occurred EAST of Albany, not six miles west.

2. In 1955 Stamford won the "AA" state championship with a 34 - 7 win over Hillsboro. The game was played in Breckenridge. Breckenridge was "AAA."

Mike died December 12, 1955. He was buried above ground with the "tomb" being made of Lueders limestone. By about 1980, the ground had shifted, the box tomb had started to come apart and so Mike was buried below ground.
