Mrs. J. L. Hart, Jr. passed away in her sleep Friday. She was found about 11 o'clock that morning. She was 52.

The body was brought to Albany where the funeral service was held in the First Baptist Church. Burial was in the family plot in the Albany Cemetery beside the bodies of her husband and son Mike.

Mrs. Hart was the former Ruth Fite, daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. Perry Fite, longtime residents of Albany. She was born in Spur December 8, 1916, where the family had moved from Albany. The Fites returned to Albany in 1919.

Mrs. Hart graduated from high school in Los Angeles, California, in 1934. She was married to J. L. Hart, Jr., in Albany in 1935, and they resided in Albany until 1940, when they moved to Luders. Mr. Hart was operator of Luders Limestone Co. for many years. He died in 1983. Their only child Mike died in 1955.

Mrs. Hart resided in Abilene after the death of her husband and had been in Fort Worth the past two years.

She was a member of the Baptist Church.
