Funeral services for Mrs. Wiley T. Horten, 77, of Sylvester were held at Rocky Creek Primitive Baptist Church on April 19, with Elder A.D. Cook and Elder A.T.Rawles officiating. Mrs. Horten died at Worth County Hospital on April 17. Interment was in Rocky Creek Cemetery.
A resident of Worth County practically all of her life, Mrs. Horten was a member of Rocky Creek Primitive Baptist Church.
Pallbearers were Grady Snipes, Nick Powell, Richard Brooks, Buford Lumpkin, Wayne Pate and Lydel Ford.
Mrs. Horten is survived by her husband W.T.Horten of Sylvester, one son, L.E.Horten of Sylvester; three daughters, Mrs. May D DeBerry of Jacksonville, Fla., and Mrs. Minnie Jones and Mrs. Lois Barfield of Sylvester; one brother , J.E. Morse of Doerun; 16 grand-children and 26 great-grand-children.
