Felix Manuel was the son of Bernard and Charlotte Manuel who was born in 1939. The 1940 census finds "Bernardo", Charlotte and Felix living in the Indian Village section of Ajo. Charlotte was Bernard's second wife, his first was Elma. Bernard had lived in Indian Village since at least 1935. He worked as a laborer for the Ajo copper mine. While Felix may have attended the Ajo schools he is not listed among its graduates. Felix met Carmen Noriega whose family had moved to Ajo in 1947. They were married and had at least three children. Felix Manuel died on May 30, 1966. Carmen passed away in 1998. They were buried in Ajo. Bernard Manuel who was born in 1903 died in July 7, 2000 and was laid to rest at the Gu Vo Cemetery on the Tohono O'Odham reservation. Billy Manuel, born in 1962, a graduate of Ajo High School, died in 2010 in Mesa, Arizona. He was survived by his brother Eugene and sister Nancy Manuel.
