Grant Alvin Larsen died on February 16, 1997, at his home in San Francisco, California.
He was born on October 7, 1923, in Provo. His parents were B. F. Larsen and Geneva Day Larsen.
He was raised in Provo and graduated from Provo High School and Brigham Young University. He served in World War II. After the war he attended the Massachusetts Institute of Technology, where he studied architecture. Then he moved to San Francisco. Here he worked for the company that built BART, a train that connects San Francisco by going under San Francisco Bay to Oakland.
Grant served in many positions in the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. He served in the bishopric in the Rivergrove Frist Ward. He held many teaching positions in Provo, Boston and San Francisco.
Grant is survived by two brothers and one sister: Eugene Larsen (LaPreal) and Celia Luce of Provo and Ronald Larsen (Helen) of Willard, Utah.
