Pete was born February 23, 1931 at Blair, NE, the son of Harold and Gladys (Reynolds) Miller. He graduated from Grand Island Senior High. During his high school years he played football and basketball. He entered the U.S. Army on August 6, 1951 and served during the Korean Conflict and received his discharge on August 5, 1959. Then he married Elma Mae Dixon in the 1950s. He returned to Grand Island and worked for Owl Auto Parts doing bodywork. He also ran his own upholstery and his own carpentry/construction firm. He married Georgene Mack, Sept. of 1979 in Grand Island. They owned and operated the Almosa Bar for 16 years. Pete enjoyed going out with his friends, doing crossword puzzles, woodworking, building things, and just puttering around. He was a member of the VFW and the American Legion, the Fraternal Order Of Eagles.
He is survived by his wife, Georgene, of Grand Island, one daughter: Teri Lyn Neff of Coeur d Alene, ID, one stepdaughter: Cynthia Puente of Grand Island, two step-grandchildren: Heather Castro and Christy Rasmussen, special great-granddaughter: Jessica K. Castro, three grandchildren: Jeremy Campbell, Sara Jane Neff, and Graham Austin Neff, three sisters: Mrs. (T.J.) Bonnie
Aguilar, of Grand Island, Bev Shaper and Mrs. (Roy) Judy Riggs, both of Alliance, NE, one brother: Francis Miller of Grand Island.
