Ernest Laurens Blackerby, 78, of Camden Road, died Sunday at his home. He was a retired farmer.
Mr. Blackerby was a native of Grant County. He had lived in Jefferson County a number of years.
He was a member of Amity Presbyterian Church in Grant County.
Surviving are his wife, Mrs. Etta Clement Blackerby of Camden Road; two daughters, Mrs. Truman Clement of Pine Bluff and Mrs. O. C. Ray of Oakland, Illinois; a brother, Ben Blackerby of Grapevine; a sister, Mrs., Henry Lee of Pine Bluff; and three grandchildren, Ernie Clement of Pine Bluff and Michael Ray and Tenna Jo Ray, both of Oakland.
The funeral will be at 2:30 p.m. Tuesday by Reverend Dale Gentry at Clement Cemetery. Burial will be by Ralph Robinson & Son Mortuary.

Pallbearers were Cedric Lee, S. F. Lee, Robert Lee, James Lee, Vindel Blackerby, Joe Blackerby, Boyd Blackerby, Laurens H. Blackerby, Thurman Blackerby and Joe B. Henderson.
