Frances Lynn Carpenter, age 78, of Omaha, Texas, passed away Monday, September 5, 2016 in a Tyler, Texas hospital. Frances was born May 6, 1938, in Miami, Arizona to Robert William Myrtle and Jessie Pegues Myrtle.

Frances was a member of First Baptist Church in Omaha, Texas and attended the Berean Sunday School Class. She graduated Paul Pewitt High School, and then attended Northeast Texas Community College and East Texas State University where she gained her degree as a Social Worker. In 1999, she was named an Alumni Ambassador from East Texas State University for her work as a social worker and for training social work intern students from the university. Frances was a member of the Order of the Eastern Star. She devoted her life to helping others.
