Montague Flagg, prominent architect and son of the late Charles Noel Flagg and Ellen Earle Flagg, died this afternoon at his home in this city [Hartford]. He was born in Mount Vernon, New York, Nov. 9, 1883, graduated from Hartford High School in 1905, from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology in 1909, and later studied architecture in Paris.
Among the most important buildings designed by Mr. Flagg are those of the Bankers Trust Building at Forty-second street and Fifth Avenue, New York City; the Thomas Cook Building at 565 Fifth Avenue, New York, and the Rockville Savings Bank at Rockville. His New York address was 42 East Fifty-seventh Street.

Montague Flagg II married heiress Thyrza Benson of Brooklyn, and they were parents of a daughter, Thyrza (called Molly) Flagg Gibbs Magee Knudsen of Austin, Nevada. Flagg served as a Navy officer in World War I and was also a noted collector and dealer of antiques.
