Fred Charles O'Brien, 53, beloved father and grandfather, died September 10, 2000 from injuries received in a motorcycle accident.

He was born October 3, 1946 in Murray, Utah to John Francis and Ruth Hobbs O'Brien.

Married and divorced. Fred was self employed in medical equipment sales and was a Veteran of the Korean Conflict. His hobbies include motorcycling, boating, camping, gardening and traveling. He loved playing with his grandkids. His two dogs, "Stan" and "Daffy", provided him with pleasure during walks.

Survivors: children, Katie (Brian) Abrams, Lexington, Kentucky; Mandi (Mike) Huber and Erin (Scott) Pickrell, both Salt Lake; grandchildren, Alice and Jacob Abrams; Kim and Sara Huber; brothers, Jack (Tanya) and Ken (Nadine). Preceded in death by his parents.

Funeral services will be held Friday, September 15, 2000 at 11 a.m. in the Goff Mortuary 8090 So. State where friends may call Friday one hour prior to services.

Interment, Midvale City Cemetery.
