He graduated from George Peabody College (BS), Nashville and Louisville Theological Seminary (MDiv, DD) and was a minister in the Presbyterian Church USA. He served churches in Greensboro, NC. (Meadowside), Louisville, KY. (Beulah) and Houston, TX and was a U.S Marine Corps veteran. Surviving are his wife of 62 years, June Parsons Mills; children, Jonathan David of Orlando, FL, James Carl of NYC, Carter Haskell of Mobile, AL and grandchildren, Diane, Emma and Abigail. Funeral Services will be held September 9, 2016 at the Maitland Presbyterian Church in Maitland, FL with Reverend Carter Mills and Reverend Labert Altemose officiating.
