CROW AGENCY — Garlon Williamson, 67, of Crow Agency, passed to the other side camp on Dec. 26, 2009.
Dea’xkaache daxkas’ “High Eagle” was born June 9, 1942, in Crow Agency, a son of Lorraine Morrison and Dexter Williamson Jr. His maternal grandparents Allie and Marcia Morrison raised him in the Big Horn Mountains on the buffalo pasture. He received his education in Lodge Grass, enlisted in the U.S. Army and later received his honorable discharge.
Garlon married Irma Jean Killsnight and was widowed. He married Pansy Dawes and the couple later divorced. He was a member of the Zion II Church, Lodge Grass Church, Piegan Clan and was a child of the Newly Made Lodge. He worked for the BIA Irrigation, St. Labre Mission and numerous capacities for the Crow Tribe including as a policeman and as a member of the Oil and Gas Committee. He enjoyed making his yard the best possible in the area.
His parents; daughters Crystal Little Light and Fairalee Williamson; granddaughter Jazmine Morning; sisters Anna Cashen and Maude Williamson; adopted mother Gloria Medicine Crow; brothers Melvin Paul, Virgil and Oliver Williamson preceded Garlon in death.

Funeral services will be held 1 p.m. Tuesday Dec. 29, in the Bullis Funeral Chapel. Interment with military honors will follow in the Crow Agency Cemetery. Bullis Mortuary of Hardin has been entrusted with the arrangements.
