Russell Jay Turner, age 58, of Woodstock, GA, passed away on September 3, 2016. He was born May 20, 1958 in Atlanta, GA, to Ben Brooks Turner and Betty Hill Turner.

On July 30, 2005 he was married in Roswell, GA, to his wife Patricia Ann Turner.

He was an Active member of the VFW and Georgia Triumph Association. He was employed for 22 years with Hydro-Chem in Holly Springs, GA, where he was a Senior Mechanical Designer.

He found great joy in restoring, competing and leisurely driving Triumph cars, deer and bird hunting, fishing, camping, traveling, barbecuing, and spending time with his family and friends.

He is survived by his wife, Patricia Turner; his son, Benjamin (Jennifer) Sarno; his daughter, Courtney (Nathan) Garber; parents, Ben Brooks and Betty Hill Turner; sisters, Elizabeth (Michael) Kessler and Lisa Levison; grandchildren, Trent Sarno and Emery Garber; brother-in-law, John (Kathleen) Senuta; nephews, Adam Kessler and Turner Levison; niece Megan Kessler. He is preceded in death by his brother Ben Turner Jr.

Funeral services will be held on Monday, September 12, 2016 at 12:00pm in the funeral home chapel. Interment will follow at Georgia National Cemetery.
