He was preceded in death by his parents; sons, Ben Brooks Turner, Jr. and Russell Jay Turner; sister, Margaret Thurmond; and brother, Howard Turner. Left to remember him are his wife of 72 years, Betty Turner; daughters, Elizabeth Turner Kessler (Michael) and Lisa Turner Levison; and grandchildren, Adam Kessler, Turner Levison and Megan Kessler.
