It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Albert Anders on July 20, 2016.

Albert was born in Clarita, Coal County, Oklahoma on March 27, 1920 to Walcie Lee Birch and Wilburn Anders and grew up in that area. He moved to California at the age of 12 where he eventually met and married his true love Doris Anders on 11-15-1940 in Las Vegas, Nevada. They remained devoted to each other for over 70 years.

He was truly a loving devoted husband and father devoting himself tirelessly to his family. He was a kind, gentle, honest man with many friends and willingly gave of his time and energies to those that needed help. He served with honor in the 2nd world war and after returning to the States, he settled down in Visalia.

He was a faithful member of the Church of Christ for almost 60 years and worked and lived a life that reflected his strong faith bringing dignity and honor to his family.

He was preceded in death by his wife Doris, his four brothers, Edison, J.D., Elzie, and Lee, four sisters: Elsie, Thelma, Anna Faye, Janell and grandson Jerry Anders.

Albert is survived by; sons, Doyle, David and Craig; one brother, Wilburn, and one sister Iwanda; grandchildren, Sandy, Jason, Ashley, Ryan; great grandchildren, Cheryl, Heather, Kristen, Darrin and great-great grandchildren, Audrey, Austin, Lilly, Carter, Cameron, Madelyn, and Amy.

He will truly be missed and we look forward to seeing him again in that heavenly land that Christ has prepared for the faithful.

We are forever indebted to him and he will always be in our hearts.

A graveside service will be held at 9 A.M. on Wednesday July 27, 1916 at the Visalia Public Cemetery Pavilion.
