Effie was born 3 Dec 1889 in , Greene, Indiana. She died 26 May 1944 in Linton, Greene, Indiana and was buried 29 May 1944 in Walnut Grove (Mood) Cemetery, Richland Twp., Greene, Indiana.

2nd Elsie Margaret Schwartz- daughter of Gideon Schwartz-9143 and Mary Elizabeth Brines on 20 Dec 1945 in Burris Chapel Parsonage, , Greene, Indiana. The marriage ended in divorce on 28 Oct. 1948 Elsie was born 14 Sep 1888 in Sumner, , Illinois. She died 12 May 1970 in Linton, Greene, Indiana and was buried in Bethel Cemetery, Oris, Lawrence, Illinois. She was the widow of Albert Norton Marquart

3rd Laura Maud Crossland-4508 of Thomas Elijah Crossland and Mary Chauncey Casey on 11 Jan 1950 in Daviess, Indiana. Laura was born 20 Apr 1871 in Newberry, Greene, Indiana. She died 19 Aug 1963 in Terre Haute, Vigo, Indiana and was buried in Prairie Chapel Cemetery Washington twp Greene county Indiana. She was the widow of Oliver Perry Thomas


Clarence Emery, 94, of Lyons died at 1:05 a.m. Sept.27 at the Glenburn Rest Haven Nursing Home.

He was born Aug. 5 1891, in Greene county the son of Charles and Minerva Hardesty Emery.

He was a retired farmer and coal miner and a member of the Lyons church of Christ.

He is survived by one son Thomas of Switz City; two daughters Reba McKee and Norma Emery of Bradenton, Fla.; three sisters Pearl Sherer of Bloomfield, Zelma Haines of Sunnyside, Wash, and Minnie Edington of Bloomington; three grandchildren.

He was peceded in death by his wife Effie; two sisters and six brothers.

Funeral Services were Monday at 2 p.m. at Jenkins funeral home in Bloomfield.

Burial was in Walnut Grove Cemetery. - - Bloomfield News, Weekly Newspaper, Bk. 22 pg. 308, 3 Oct 1985

NOTE: - He had not been a resident of Lyons since before 1968, when the family home was sold. He had an apartment in Linton before going into the nursing home
