Clarence Emery, 94, of Lyons died at 1:05 a.m. Sept.27 at the Glenburn Rest Haven Nursing Home.

He was born Aug. 5 1891, in Greene county the son of Charles and Minerva Hardesty Emery.

He was a retired farmer and coal miner and a member of the Lyons church of Christ.

He is survived by one son Thomas of Switz City; two daughters Reba McKee and Norma Emery of Bradenton, Fla.; three sisters Pearl Sherer of Bloomfield, Zelma Haines of Sunnyside, Wash, and Minnie Edington of Bloomington; three grandchildren.

He was peceded in death by his wife Effie; two sisters and six brothers.

Funeral Services were Monday at 2 p.m. at Jenkins funeral home in Bloomfield.

Burial was in Walnut Grove Cemetery. - - Bloomfield News, Weekly Newspaper, Bk. 22 pg. 308, 3 Oct 1985

NOTE: - He had not been a resident of Lyons since before 1968, when the family home was sold. He had an apartment in Linton before going into the nursing home
