Robert L. Daniel, Jr. passed away Tuesday, August 30, 2016 at the age of 89, a native and resident of Baton Rouge; he was a loving husband, father and grandfather.
He was a veteran of the US Coast Guard during WWII and a veteran of the US Army during the Korean War.
He was a graduate of LSU School of Engineering and went to work in the welding supply business. He retired from Lincoln Big Three Inc. as Executive Vice President in 1993. He enjoyed his days hunting and fishing with family and friends.
He is survived by his wife of 60 years, Alta Mae Daniel, a son Jeffrey Daniel and wife Valerie, a daughter, Jan Daniel and a granddaughter, Adaire Daniel of Houston.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Robert L., Sr. and Margaret Dupuis Daniel.
Visitation will be Monday, September 5, 2016 at Rabenhorst Funeral Home East 11000 Florida Blvd. starting at 5:00pm until 7:00pm. Visitation will resume Tuesday, September 6, 2016 at 10:00am until services in the funeral home chapel at 12:00pm with internment at Greenoaks Memorial Park.
