William Bos, 68, a longtime resident of Prairie City, died at 6 p.m. Sunday.
Funeral services will be held at the Christian Reformed Church in Prairie City. The time of the services has not been arranged.
The Rev. Theodore Wevers, minister of the church, will conduct the services. Burial will be in Waveland Cemetery with military graveside rites.
Walters Funeral Home in Prairie City is in charge of arrangements.
Mr. Box is survived by three brothers, Henry of Runnells, John A. of Des Moines and Edwin of Prairie City, and five sisters, Mrs. Walter (Jennie) Schut, and Mrs. Gerrit (Cora) Schut, both of Prairie City, Mrs. Ray (Grace) Carter, Mrs. N. J. (Nellie) Leatherman and Mrs. F. C. (Jeanetta) Wallace, all of Newton; as well as several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents, a sister, Della Klein and a brother, Marion.
Mr. Bos was a member of the Prairie City Christian Reformed Church and the Prairie City American Legion post.
Born March 17, 1894 in Pella, he was educated in Pella schools. He moved with his parents to a farm south of Prairie City in 1911 and did custom farm work with machinery and trucks for many years.
Mr. Bos served with the Army overseas during World War I.
