Jessie was born on December 17, 1942 to Minnie Lee Wallace and Isadoe Fuller in Anguilla, Mississippi, moving to Chicago in 1959. She worked at a local nursing home for six years. In 1965, she moved to Ogden, Utah.

Several years later, she met and married Charles Lyons. After a few years spent living in Spain, Jessie and Charles were blessed with a son, Anthony Edward Lyons. Upon returning to Ogden, Utah, this is where they raised their young son. She loved each and every day of being a mother.

She also loved to cook special meals for the family, especially during the holidays.

Survivors include, husband, Charles Lyons; mother, Minnie L. Wallace; son, Anthony Edward Lyons; brother, James Lee (Sherrell) Wallace; grandchildren: Ariana, Alaysia, Amani and Ryder; aunt, Mary Cooper; nephew, James Wallace, Jr.; nieces, Nicole Wallace and Debbie Hardaway Wallace (James); great-nieces: Jaidyn V. Parks and Brandy Hardaway; great-nephew, Brandon Hardaway; and cousin, Jessie Wallace.

Funeral services will be held on Friday, September 9, 2016 at 2 p.m. at Lindquist’s Ogden Mortuary, 3408 Washington Blvd. Friends may visit with family on Thursday from 6 to 8 p.m. and Friday from 12:30 to 1:30 p.m. at the mortuary.

Interment, Evergreen Memorial Park.
