Deanna R. (Thomas) Stauffer, age 71, of 222 Camp Road, Bloomsburg, died early Tuesday, Aug. 30, 2016, shortly after being admitted to Geisinger Medical Center, Danville.
Born in Orangeville on April 16, 1945, she was a daughter of the late Harold D. and Margaret J. (Hartman) Thomas.
She was a 1963 graduate of Central Columbia High School. She resided at her present home for 17 years and previously lived at Germansville, Lehigh County, for 30 years. Deanna was a member of the First English Baptist Church, Bloomsburg, the Bloomsburg Civic Club, and the Red Hat Society.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a sister, Dorothy Creveling, and four brothers: Paul Thomas; Donald V. Thomas; Hervey R. Thomas; and David H. Thomas.
Deanna is survived by her husband, Carl E. Stauffer, with whom she celebrated her 52nd wedding anniversary on March 21, 2016; two sons: Carl E. Stauffer Jr. and his wife, Virginia, Masontown; Scott B. Stauffer and his wife, Laura, Walnutport; two grandchildren: Brandon Stauffer and Rachel Stauffer; seven siblings: Mary Kocher, Orangeville; Helen
Ann, wife of Dale M. Davis, Dale E. Thomas and his wife, Bernice, both of Bloomsburg; Roselyn Smith, Jersey Shore; Shirley, wife of William Bower, Sweet Valley; Doris L. Creveling and John R. Thomas, Bloomsburg; as well as a number of nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held at the convenience of the family with her pastor, the Rev. Dr. L. Lee Barnhardt, officiating.
Interment will be in the Columbia Hill Cemetery.
