Friends of Mr. and Mrs. James M. Backus, Messrs, Archie and Thomas Backus, Mrs. D. L. Williams, Mrs. Odessa Anchbacher, Messrs, J. T. Manse and G. F. Backus, Miss Sallie Backus, Mr. an d Mrs. D. M. Goodlin, Srl., and family, Mrs. Georgia Backus and Mr. J. F. Backus are invited to attend the funeral of Mr. James M. Backus this Monday afternoon at 2:30 o'clock from the residence, 83 Everhart Street (Capitol View). Dr. T. H. Johnston, of St. Philips cathedral, will officiate. Interment at Hollywood. The following gentlemen will serve as pallbearers and please meet at the residence: Mr. H. W. Quinn, Mr. Will Watts, Mr. Gus Wofford, Mr. Walter Andrews, Mr. Will Andrews and Mr. Charles Haushalter. Mr. Backus was a member of Bricklayers union, No. 14, of Georgia and all members are especially invited to attend funeral services. Barclay & Brandon, funeral directors, P. J. Bloomfield in charge.

Hollywood Cemetery has been thoroughly and systematically searched over a three year period. We did not find a marker for Mr. James Backus.
