Donna Mae was born July 10th, 1924 in St. Cloud to John F. and Rosalie A. (Weisser) Ebnet. She married Vernon F. Stroeing on June 10th, 1954 at St. Paul’s Catholic Church in St. Cloud. She was employed at CharGale Defense Plant and the National Tea Company in St. Cloud.
Donna graduated from Cathedral High School and was a member of the Cathedral High School Drum and Bugle Corps. Donna Mae was a charter member of the St. Cloud VFW Granite Post 428 All Girl Drum and Bugle Corps from 1947-1961. She was a member of St. Peter’s Catholic Church and Christian Women.
Donna will always be remembered for her love of the Minnesota Twins and playing Canasta with family to all hours of the morning.
Survivors include her daughter, Linda Stroeing, St. Paul, sister- in- law Rosemary Ebnet, Sauk Rapids, and many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband Vern, February 23rd, 2002, brother and sisters, Lt. Commander John “Jack” Ebnet, Rose Marie (Phil) Hartman and Bernice (Roy) Sauer.
Memorials are preferred to St. Peter’s Catholic Church or Cathedral High School.
