Dale E. Blevins, 91, Quarryville, died Friday, December 25, 2015 at Welsh Mountain Home. He was preceded in death by his wife of 70 years, Freda V. (Rinier) Blevins and his loving daughter, Joyce E. Blevins.
Born in Helton, North Carolina, he was the son of the late Verney and Allie (Pennington) Blevins.
Dale was a carpenter and skilled wood carver. He is a World War II veteran, having served in the Army under General Patton. He played minor league baseball with the Lancaster Red Roses until leaving to faithfully serve his country. He loved collecting and selling antique tools at his stand at Shupps Grove Antique Market in Adamstown. He loved his Philadelphia Phillies.
He is survived by numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his brothers: Edison Blevins, Elmer Blevins, and Robert Blevins. (LNP - Dec 29, 2015)
