Funeral services for Mrs. Helen Pooler Peteuil, 67, of 702 Daisy St., Clearfield, will be held at 11 a.m. Monday from the Bennett and Houser Funeral Home Inc., Clearfield.
The Rev. George M. Weaver and the Rev. Elwin J. Shearer will officiate and interment will be in Hillcrest Cemetery.
Friends may call at the funeral home on Sunday from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. and until the hour of services on Monday.
Mrs. Peteuil died Friday, July 12, 1991, at her residence.
She was born in Clearfield on Oct. 2, 1923, a daughter of Harry C. and Lois (Mather) Pooler.
She is survived by her husband Henry R. Peteuil whom she married April 29, 1946' by a daughter, Linda A. Serena; a son, Jeffrey H. Peteuil, and a daughter-in-law, Jo Ellen Peteuil, all of Clearfield, and by grandchildren, Christopher J. Peteuil, Daniel R. Peteuil, Marcy J. Peteuil an Jeffrey C. Serena and by aunts Lois Pooler Hall, Philadelphia, and Bernice Mather Brown, Clearfield.
She was preceded in death by her parents.
Mrs. Peteuil was a graduate of Clearfield High School, class of 1941, and o the Presbyterian Hospital School of Nursing, Philadelphia, where she received her R.N. degree.
She was employed at the former Benson Sanitarium in Philipsburg, was employed by the Clearfield County Tuberculosis Society for several years, and was a former employee of the Clearfield Hospital and Clearfield Hospital Home Health Services.
She was a member of the Pennsylvania Nurses Association and was a steward for Local No. 708 of the association.
She had been a member of the Susquehanna Chapter, Daughters of the American Revolution since 1943; was a member of the Presbyterian Hospital School of Nursing Alumni Association; was a past member of the board of directors of Clearfield-Jefferson Mental Health and Retardation; county field director for the National Campers and Hikers Association, member of the Mid-State Ramblers Chapter of the association and a former member of the Keystone Travel Trailer Club.
She was a member of Emmanuel United Methodist Church.
The family suggests that contributions be made to the Pennsylvania Nurses Association Local No. 708 Scholarship Fund c/o Human Resources Department, Clearfield Hospital, P.O. Box 992, Clearfield, Pa. 16830.
