Lillian June Hively, 84, of Merlin died Monday, May 12, 2014, at Royale Gardens Health and Rehabilitation Center.Viewing will be held Friday from 9:30 to 10 a.m. at Hull & Hull Funeral Directors. Services will follow at 11 a.m. at Hawthorne Memorial Gardens.The youngest of five children, she was born June 23, 1929, in Hawthorne, Calif., to Floyd and Elray (Byler) Henney. She grew up in South Gate, Calif., and attended South Gate High School. On Nov. 11, 1946, she married her high school sweetheart, Carroll Hively, who died Dec. 17, 2007. They lived in South Gate for many years and then lived in North Long Beach, Calif., for a brief period. They moved to Grants Pass in 1989 and a few years later moved to Merlin.In February 2011, she married a longtime family friend, Keith Kummerfeld of Encinitas, Calif., where they lived during their marriage. They divorced after being married for a year and a half and remained friends.She enjoyed painting, crossword puzzles, doll collecting and cats, especially calicos, Himalayans and her white Persian. She also enjoyed other animals and had many pets over the years.Survivors include two sons, John Hively of Yorba Linda, Calif., and Robert Hively of Garden Valley, Calif.; two daughters, Deborah Hively of Gold Beach, and Pamela Webb of Merlin; 12 grandchildren, 25 great-grandchildren and 18 great-great-grandchildren.
