OLIVER KING
Oliver King, 77, of 626 Sixth Street, died at 10:40 p.m. Wednesday, March 28, 1973, in Brownsville General Hospital, following a three week illness.
He was born June 9, 1896, at Old Bethany, a son of David and Mary Garletts King. His wife, Elizabeth Sokol King, survives.
Mr. King was a retired coal miner having work in the Mather mine since 1928. He was a veteran of World War I, Mather Christian Church and UMW Local 6151, Mather.
Surviving in addition to his wife, Elizabeth King, are four sons: William King, Mather; David King, Pittsburgh; Oliver King, Baden; and Ronald King, Euclid, Ohio; two grandchildren; five sisters: Laura, Eva, Naomi, Catherine and Edith; and one brother, David King.
