NOTE: I found this gravesite while looking for one of my ancestors who is purportedly buried in the same cemetery. It is designated as "Austin Family Cemetery" and is located on U.S. Government property known as Linden Oaks Housing Area in the area of Spout Spring, NC. The cemetery is enclosed within a fence and is well marked, though a little difficult to locate (also, it's on an Army post with sentries.) A local map (from Google) designates the cemetery as the "Carter Family Cemetery." The headstone is a little difficult to read, but I believe Mr. Austin's age was 52 years. Be aware that there are no other marked graves, though the cemetery is of sufficient size to have perhaps a dozen or more burials. There are some depressions in the ground which may indicate burials. Finally, I located this grave while looking for the Dunn Family cemetery, which appeared to be in the same location.
