Arthur J. Haumont of Broken Bow died May 6, 1991 at the Jennie Melham Medical Center in Broken Bow

Funeral services were May 8 at the Govier Brothers Chapel in Broken Bow with the rev Paul Wimer and the Rev Tom Coll officiating. Music was provided by Virginia Martin organist and Jean and Tom Coll vocalists

Pallbearers were John Haumont, Jeffery Haumont Gregory Huggler Joe Loxterkamp, Aaron Loft, James Taylor, Morgan Haumont Ned Loxterkamp and Will Loxterkamp. Honorary pallbearers were Bill Shirkey Sr, Alfred Peltzer, Clifford Goble, Walt Williams and Jim Burdick

Burial was in the Broken Bow Cemetery with Govier Brothers Mortuary of Broken Bow in charge of the arrangements

A Memorial has been established to the Nebraska Department of Social Services "Donated Fund Account" for the use of children

Arthur John Haumont was born October 25, 1912 at Broken Bow to Paul J and Eva (Polkinghorn) Haumont. He grew up at Reed Valley and and graduated from Broken Bow High School in 1930. On June 2, 1934 he married Pearl Predmore at North Platte. They made their home on the family farm east of Broken Bow all of their married life. They celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary in 1984. Mrs Haumont died Sept 18, 1987

Haumont was a former member of District 32 King School board and Broken Bow Township board.

Survivors include two sons Orval of Merna and Jerry of Broken Bow, four daughters Madge Huggler Columbus, Naomi Loxterkamp, Broadwater, Wauneta Loft, Ord and Judy Taylor Broken Bow, one brother Tom Haumont, Broken Bow, 13 grandchildren, many nieces and nephews and other relatives and friends

He was preceded in death by his parents, wife, two sisters and one brother
