Born in Spring Grove, MN, he served in the US Army from 1949 until 1952 during the Korean War. He was a life member of Veterans of Foreign Wars, a member of the Rehoboth Beach VFW and was a decorated Korean War veteran. Mr. Ganrude had been employed as a truck driver in over the road hauling.
Mr. Ganrude was predeceased by his wife, Dorothy, in 1995.
He is survived by his stepson, Robert Coleman of Milton; his stepdaughter, Pattie Marsh of Glen Burnie, Md.; two brothers, Merv Ganrude of Minnesota and Bobby Ganrude of Illinois; a sister, Marilyn Hayes of Iowa; five grandchildren, Charles, Jack, Darin, Christopher and Christine; and two greatgrandchildren, Joseph and Caitlin.
