Son of William Salvatore Caito and Anna Scalise. Born 28 May 1907 at 1109 Foster Alley, St. Louis Missouri, per Missouri Birth Registers, 1847 - 1910.

At the time his WW II draft card was filled in, Anthony Caito worked for Scalise Brothers Fruit and Produce in St. Louis Missouri.

Said document described Mr. Caito physically as being 5'4" tall, 162 lbs., with blue eyes, brown hair and a "light" complexion.

Per his obituary: "Tony" Caito worked ten years as a school crossing guard at 14th and Maine streets in Quincy Illinois. Prior to that, he had owned and ran "Tony and Dot's Tavern," 10th and Oak streets in Quincy Illinois.

Dorothy E. McCann and Tony Caito married 12 March 1945 in Quincy Illinois.

Tony Caito passed away 21 September 1981 at a hospital in Quincy Illinois. Two siblings predeceased him.

St. Boniface church was the site for the funeral, with interment at Calvary cemetery, in Quincy, Illinois.

7 April 2023: Changed top of page name from Anthony A. "Tony" Caito to Tony Antonio Caito. Records vary. But there does not appear to be any "A" middle name as such; just Tony Antonio or Tony Anthony.
