VERONICA C. PLAYER

LYNN - Veronica C. Player, 99, 10 Wyers Court, widow of Harry Player, died Wednesday in a local hursing home after a lengthy illness.
Born in New Brunswick, Canada, daughter of the late Patrick J. and Hanna (Ryan) Collins, she was the last surviving of their 13 children.
She attended school in New Brunswick and came to Lynn as a child, residing here most of her life.
She was the oldest retired employee of the former Lynn Gas Co. where she worked in the office for more than 25 years prior to retiring in
1952. She was a communicant of St. Pius V Church and a member of the Retired Employees of the Lynn Gas Co. Association.
She leaves a son, Edward H. Player and a daughter, Phyllis V. Guerin, both of Lynn; five grandchildren; two great-grandchildren, and many
nieces and nephews, including Lynn Fire Chief Joseph Scanlon, Jr. She was also the grandmother of the late Linda V. Guerin of Lynn.

The funeral will be held Saturday at 9:30 a.m., from the Cuffe-McGinn
Funeral Home, 157 Maple St., will a blessing at 10:30 in St. Pius V Church. Burial will be in St. Joseph's Cemetery. A post-burial memorial
mass will be celebrated Saturday, April 5 at 9 a.m in St. Pius Church.
