Pierre escorted his young bride of 14 years and 8 months to the foot of the altar of the second church of St. Anne de Beaupre where they were married by Father Fillon on April 10, 1674. Their honeymoon was spent in a boat crossing the ice-filled river between St. Anne and Saint Francois, Ile d'Orleans
The ensuing life of this couple was of great simplicity. They had 13 children all born at Saint Francis of whom six died at an early age.
After the death of Mathurin Meunier, Pierre and his spouse renounced their inheritance in favor of Francoise Fafart.
After Pierre's death at age 64, son Jacques Labbe married Francoise DeBlois in November, 1709. She was the daughter of Jean-Gregoire whom widow Marguerite married on June 12, 1710 in Saint Francois. Jean-Gregoire was the widower of Genevieve Le Maistre AND of Francoise Rousseau
Marguerite Meunier died at the age of 73 years. She was buried at St, Francoise on June 18, 1733.∼child of Fille A Marier Francoise Fafard, who arrived in New France in 1647. Her father was a peat worker. Her parents had 9 children.
