Arlene E. Abfall, age 92, died Wednesday, August 24, 2016 at the Remembrance Home in Beaver Dam.

Private services will be held.

Arlene was born on March 1, 1924 in Beaver Dam, the only child of Leslie and Grace (Daniels) Girard. She attended schools in Beaver Dam and was a 1942 graduate of Beaver Dam High School. On June 3, 1946, Arlene was united in marriage with Stephen Abfall at St. Peter Catholic Church in Beaver Dam. She was employed as an upper leather cutter at both the Lakeside and Spring Street Weyenberg plants. Arlene lived her entire life in Beaver Dam and enjoyed playing cards with her friends and fishing bullheads in Beaver Dam Lake.

Survivors include two sons, Jon (Kay) Abfall of Beaver Dam and Leslie Abfall of Tampa, Florida; three grandchildren, Michael Abfall, Kelly Wood, and Daniel (Erica) Abfall; six great grandchildren, Spencer, Brittany, Joseph, Aubrey, Brody, and Claire; three step grandchildren, Jeff (Solthaya) Bord, Matt (Janiel) Bord, and Rebecca (Jake) Omen; six step great grandchildren, Collette, Marek, Yasmeen, Quinn, Aidan, and Mason; other relatives and friends. Arlene was preceded in death by her parents and her husband.

The family would like to thank the Remembrance Home for the love and care shown to Arlene over the past five and a half years.
