Billie Joe Cook, 83, of Batesville passed away August 24, 2016. He was born September 26, 1932 in Manila, Arkansas. He worked as a machinist at White Rodgers for several years and proudly served his country in the United States Army during the time of the Korean War. He enjoyed to pitch horseshoes and being outdoors. He liked to hunt and fish and was a collector of sorts. He was a member of the American Legion.
He was preceded in death by his father Richard Cook and his mother and step-dad Ruth and Vernon Foster; one son Stephan Wayne Cook; one half-sister; and two half-brothers.
He is survived by his wife of 62 years Donna Cook; one daughter Brenda MacDonald and her husband Robb; two sons Larry Cook and his wife Cheryl and Willie Cook and his wife Malia; seven grandchildren; seven great grandchildren; and a host of other relatives and dear friends.
Visitation will be tonight from 6-8 PM at Willis Funeral Service Chapel, graveside services will be Friday, August 26th at 10:00 AM at Alderbook Cemetery in Desha with Joey Cook officiating.
