Kenneth was born May 11, 1937, in Cass County, Texas, to Morris and Grace Upchurch. Nineteen fifty nine was an important year in Kenneth’s life. He enlisted in the United States Air Force. The height of the Cold War, and his duties sent him to a Forward Operating Base for the Strategic Air Command, in Alaska where he honorably served.
Upon returning, he was employed by Cooper Tire for the next sixteen years. He made the decision to farm full time where he raised chickens and cattle and combined seeds around the community.
His life revolved around God, his family, and his farm. Kenneth was very active in the community and with his family. He was a deacon and member of Antioch Baptist Church. He loved nothing more than spending time with his family and occasionally, hunting and fishing. He was preceded in death by his parents, and a son, Jeffery Boyd Upchurch
