Our loving Husband, Father and Grandfather, Michael Keith Christensen, 59, unexpectedly passed away on August 20, 2016. Born in Mt. Pleasant Utah to Keith and Ramona Christensen. He proudly served in the Utah National Guard for 12 years as a Staff Sergeant in Mt. Pleasant Utah. He was married to the love of his life Enedina (Eny) Christensen for 37 years. His positive attitude and strong will to live was an inspiration to all who knew him. His family was the joy of his life. He enjoyed going hunting and spending every chance he could with family. He was a double lung transplant survivor of 4 years. Survived by wife, Eny; Son, Adam Christensen; Daughters, Kristin (Mike) Dewild, Kelly Leyba, and Brittany (Brandon) Eagar; Mother, Ramona Christensen; Sister, Trina (John) Oneida; Brother, Chuck (Kimmy) Christensen; 15 Grandchildren; 1 Great grandson on the way and 1 honorary grandson. Preceded in death by Father, Keith Christensen; grandparents and many uncles. We would like to thank the Lung Transplant team of the University of Utah, Dr. Barbara Cahill and Dr. Sanjeev Ramen, and Nurse Transplant Coordinators Kelly and Tauni for the excellent care he received from them in the past 5 years.
Funeral services will be held on Saturday, August 27, 2016 at 12:00 p.m. at the Midvale Stake Center, 8171 S. Jackson Street Midvale, UT. Viewings will be held at the Midvale Stake Center on Friday, August 26, 2016 from 6:00-8:00 p.m. and Saturday, August 27, 2016, one hour prior to the services. Interment will be in the Midvale City Cemetery.
