David Ruff, 76, of Ault, died Tuesday at the Osteopathic Memorial Hospital, where he had been for the past 13 days.
He was born Dec. 16, 1885, at Dittle, Russia [Dietel, Russia]. He moved to Lincoln, Neb., with his parents in 1902 from Russia. They came to Fort Collins in 1906. He married Eva Katherine Specht Nov. 29, 1913 at Fort Collins. They came to Greeley in 1927 and farmed here before moving to Pine Bluffs, Wyo. in 1941. They moved to Ault in 1946. Ruff was a member of the First Lutheran Church of Ault.
Besides his wife, survivors include six daughters; two sons; three brothers, Andrew, Jake and George, all of Denver, three sisters, Mrs. Eva Davis and Mrs. Mary Demler, both of Denver and Mrs. Elizabeth Pitsch of Fort Collins.
Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m., Thursday from Adamson Memorial Chapel with interment at Sunset Memorial Gardens.
