ASHLAND: Norman L. Wolf went to be with the Lord Monday evening, August 22, 2016 in Crystal Care Center of Ashland. He was 80.
He was born December 11, 1935 in Richland County to parents Alvin and Freda (Foulke) Wolf. He graduated from Shiloh High School with the class of 1953, and soon married Mary Ellen Kaylor on May 18, 1955 and the pair went on have two beautiful daughters. Even to this day Norman believes Mary Ellen to be more beautiful than ever.
Norman began farming on the Free Road family farm, and went on to work for his brother, Raymond and FerrellGas until he was diagnosed with Parkinson's disease in 1989 and then retired.
In retirement Norman and Mary moved to Mineola, Texas, where they enjoyed volunteering for Meals on Wheels and took pleasure in traveling. The Balloon Fest in Santé Fe, New Mexico being his most favorite event to attend.
He is survived by his wife Mary Ellen (Kaylor) Wolf; his daughters Pamela Young of Mansfield, and Christine (Kellam) Newell of Mineola, TX who have both fought a brave battle against breast cancer and won; grandchildren Stephanie (Dirk) Bistline of Shiloh, Scott (Kristy) Tucker of Hayesville, Sandie (Chris) Killion of Bailey Lakes, Stephen (Jessica) Tucker of Mansfield, Madalyn Newell and Lexie Newell of Mineola, TX; six great grandchildren Lance, Bryce, Makenzi, Caden, Rebecca, and Carter.
In addition to his parents, Norman was preceded in death by his siblings; Harold Wolf, Ethel (Wolf) Williams, Raymond Wolf and Vergil Wolf.
A funeral service honoring Norman's life will be held Friday August 26, 2016 at 3 p.m. with an hour prior of calling at 2 p.m. Rev. Philip Wolf will officiate with burial to follow in Mt. Hope Cemetery.
Contributions in Norman's memory to Hospice of North Central Ohio may be made at the funeral home.
